 Born Pretty Eyelash Haul!
"Born Pretty Eyelash Haul!" was Posted On: Monday, May 20, 2013 [at] 11:09 AM | Leave a Comment
I've actually been meaning to post this for a while, okay scratch that a LONG while! This has been sitting in my drafts folder for a long arse time. I love BornPretty, and I was so happy when I saw I could get 50 pairs of eyelashes for $15! I actually saw this thanks to Alexis at MissBanny! Her post is what made me check it out(that post is also how I found her blog, searching for eyelashes!). I love eyelashes and I seem to always lose them, because I wear them and then take them off and put them in some random place where one gets separated from the other or I sleep in them and wake up with one stuck to my cheek and the other has disappeared into that place in the blankets where socks disappear to. So with that being said I was in heaven when I saw that BornPretty sold a 50 pack of eyelashes with glue and an applicator.
You get 5 packs of eyelashes that have 10 of each style. 3 are thick and 2 are thin. I really wanted these, because I've been trying to get my hands on the criss cross pairs forever! So I decided why not get a 50 set, plus the ones I want. Seeing as I re-use eyelashes for months, I think I'm pretty set on them, as long as I don't lose them or misplace them. Which is inevitable..
These were the first pair. Very thick and long lashes that are gorgeous. To me they look really natural and aren't as standoutish as they look.
A thin pair of lashes that I'm not super sure what I'm going to do with. I love my lashes being super thick and long.
My favourite out of them all! I have seen everyone everywhere with these lashes and I was capable of getting them! They're thick, pretty and soo cute.
These are another pair of nice thick lashes. I combined these with the criss cross ones and a pair of the thin ones.
This is the pair that had me searching for eyelashes. They're very thin and pretty.
The 50 pack comes with glue(on the right) and an applicator(on the left). I never had a use for an applicator before, but now that I'm trying to wear bottom lashes, this is a godsend. The glue hasn't been used yet.
Also, here is the best part. I made a mistake and added that Hello Kitty plate to my order, it was suppose to be free with the stickers. I contacted them, because the code didn't make it free and even though it was my mistake they offered to give me an extra eyelash glue to make up the difference. THEN! Things got better. My order never came, so after talking to them and waiting they agreed to resend my package for me. When I got it, not only had they sent everything I bought, but the added in the extra glue, which I assumed they would forget to do, since it was a replacement package..
\
Soo, all in all I love BornPretty. I did a review on them last year, which you can read here. You can find the 50 set of eyelashes here!

Hope you enjoyed! Have you ever ordered from BornPretty?

Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Oil Controlling Towelettes Review
"Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Oil Controlling Towelettes Review" was Posted [at] 1:22 AM | Leave a Comment
So I had only heard of Witch Hazel once before in my life. I use to have(pretty sure I still might, but haven't had one in a while) really bad nosebleeds. Like ridiculous. I would have to go to the hospital and at one time they almost had to hook me up to a machine to give me blood, because I lost so much. You don't really think you could lose that much blood through your nose! Apparently I can.. However this post isn't about my ease of bleeding. It's about Witch hazel. When I was having my nosebleeds, I had read that you could put Witch Hazel in your nose and it would stop them. I had never used Witch Hazel before and could never find it! So this was all I knew about the stuff. So, I was excited and a little shocked when I got to try these Witch Hazel wipes by Dickinson's, thanks to Influenster. These were a part of my Sugar N' Spice Voxbox. Not only did I get to try them, but I got a full box of the towelettes to use. You get 20 per box. As you can see the box is nice and attractive looking. A big part of wanting to buy something is the product looking nice. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm more likely to buy something that's pretty. I love pretty items sitting on my dresser as opposed to lame branding and packaging.

The first thing I noticed about these towelettes were that they were targeted for oil controlling. I have very dry skin, nothing oily about it. So I was scared they would dry out my skin even more. However, on the box it also says that the towelettes are non drying and for all skin types. That's a HUGE claim! Usually you don't want a product thats "one size fits all." I mean how can a product meant to stop oily skin from getting oily also help moisturize dry skin?! Let's not even get started on combination skin! So, with that being said I expected these to dry out my skin anyway.
First, upon opening the box I saw that all the towelettes were individually wrapped and perfect for carrying with me. That's a plus, because I hate when I sweat or my eyes water or whatever and I have to wipe my face with my hands, now I can just use these. Obviously you can use any towelettes or wipes, but I hadn't bought any new ones since Christmas time when I went to ULTA. Anyway, it's great that they're portable.

The first time I used the wipes I didn't have much makeup on . They're easy to use. Just like any other wipes/towelettes. I noticed that they're very soft and clean really well. A lot of people have said they didn't like the smell, for whichever reasons, but I actually like it. It smells healthy and pharmaceutical like. I noticed the towelettes also didn't dry out my skin. They didn't add any more moisture. They definitely work great during Summer. They cool you off and don't clog your pores. I've only used these about 4 times as I prefer using my facial washes for removing makeup and just like to carry these for the reasons stated above. They do clean well, but no wipes/towelettes ever leave me with the perfectly clean face feeling like I get with washes.

I had never used these before, but now I, honestly, can't imagine not having them around. They're easy to carry and useful. Apparently they're sold at Walgreen's, which is a plus since my sisters work there. I'll definitely be checking out the rest of the brand and I recommend these. I recommend them for anyone who just wants some nice and useful towelettes to carry around. I don't use them to cleanse my face and don't know how well they'll do that. They do take off makeup, but I'm sure you'd need to wash your face anyway afterwards.

I Love Coffee!(So let's use it to make a facial!)
"I Love Coffee!(So let's use it to make a facial!)" was Posted On: Thursday, May 16, 2013 [at] 11:00 AM | Leave a Comment
This is actually kind of old. I have been "planning" to edit these pictures for quite some time and decided to finally get around to it and get this uploaded. So, a while ago I was doing my usual internet browsing and saw some stuff about skincare. One of the skincare recipes was to make a coffee facial. Using just coffee grounds and olive oil! I've been wanting to do more DIYs and decided to try this, when I noticed we had a container of olive oil no one was using.
So, as I said the ingredients are:
1. Coffee Grounds
2. Olive Oil

So basically you just wake up and mix the coffee and olive oil. Put it on your face and leave it there for 30 seconds. Then wipe off. Supposedly, the coffee is anti-inflammatory(I've heard this alot) and has lots of antioxidants(meh..) and the olive oil works as a moisturizer to brighten your skin and soften it.. Keep going for pictures that just look weird.

So here is my freshly "just-woke-up" face. No makeup and all the discoloration and dryness! As you can see in the red circles I outlined the extra dry spots and even amplified my annoyingly uneven eyelids! This is why I focus on lip makeup and blush and make sure my eye-makeup and eyelashes even those out. Eyelashes work wonders, but that's another post!

I don't have bad skin. I hardly break out, ever! I usually just have to deal with the discoloration on my cheeks, upper lip and forehead. Also my skin is really dry! Dx

I loved this, because it was insanely easy. I've seen soo many D.I.Y facials and they either involve cooking, or smashing or things I don't have. There's one thing I always have and that's coffee! I like avocados too much to turn them into a face mask, so I just buy the pre-made ones. I love most fruits and vegetables too much to turn them into face masks. I might try an oatmeal one though. I, personally, only use olive oil when making potato wedges. So, I often can use that, plus I love coffee and have a lot of it, but I can break a few teaspoons free.
When you mix it you get this result. Actually I had a lot of bad results. At first it was too dry, so I added more olive oil, then it was too moist so I added a little more coffee, eventually I got to this! A moist and oily result, as you can see.
It smelt soo amazing! I really love the smell of coffee, so I was in heaven! Also can we say yay for my camera's high quality pictures! I've had this camera for 2 or 3 years and I'm just realizing how to take pictures where it focuses on the subject in the front and blurs the back. Well, I keep getting off topic, but anywhoo!
Here's some pictures of my face with the facial on it. It was rough, but the coffee was gritty. Also, as I keep saying, it smelled amazing! So did my face! :D
This is actually how much I had left. I made wayy too much! Soo, be careful about that, because I'm not sure if you can save it and I don't know if you would want too. I only do facials once a week, so I wouldn't want this sitting in my refrigerator for a week.

The end results were as expected from any facial. My face didn't look any different. The olive oil definitely made it softer, hell it made it a little greasy. After wiping it off my face felt soft and stilled smelled really good. The dry spots were gone and my discoloration was oddly enough faded. The discoloration on my skin likes to play mind games with me. After doing facials it likes to get lighter, but ultimately it never goes away. As you can see it also made my hair very soft! *o*

As far as my first D.I.Y facial goes this was pretty fun, easy and enjoyable. I don't think I'll do it again, simply, because I love coffee too much to use it on my face and it was still messy.

So, hope you enjoyed this and thanks for reading!
Have you even done a D.I.Y facial(some are better than others)? Do you have one you recommend?

 Happy Mummy's Day! ❥

Somehow I thought that little cheap star would make my pictures look less vulgar with the amount of cleavage I was showing, oddly enough with my cleavage blocked it doesn't look as, uh, out there, but enough about my boobs.. My mum also doesn't like taking pictures, but one day... Oh one day!
Mother My Dear
Hoping that blessings may brighten your way,
Wishing you happiness day after day.
Trusting your heart will be filled with good cheer,
And loving you tenderly, Mother my dear.
